My philosophy is simple:

Here’s the skinny:

After almost 2 decades of time working as a portrait and elopement photographer for a business in which it was my responsibility to appeal to an almost universal range of clients, I’m itching to photograph for “My People” from a place of freedom and creativity. “My People” are strange and kind, just weirdos fully in love with each other. “My People” are not looking for perfection because they understand that the most beautiful things in life come from imperfect moments. “My People” are not looking for dry costumer service where they will always be appeased, but are looking for someone real who happens to be good at what they do, reliable, and will make it happen.

I want to get to know you. I want to choose you as much as you choose me. Because we chose each other, I want to be able to show up giving all of the shits, and get excited for the adventure that we will have together. I want to get home after a long day of shooting and want nothing more than to put that memory card onto my computer and look at all of the beautiful moments ready to be crafted into memorable art. I want you to feel all the feels when you receive your photos, and to feel comfortable enough with me to share that joy. I want to get an email from you a year later catching me up on your life and inviting me to join you again to capture your story as it unfolds.

It’s hard not to fall in love with people on their landmark days, when all of the emotions, love, and vulnerability are so abundant, but its the day to day that hold the depth of our experience and I want to honor that with you as well.
